Building the Museum

With base building construction substantially completed, exhibit fit-up is now underway and official opening of the Museum will take place in September 2014. The physical home of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights will become an inspiring international landmark, drawing visitors from around the globe. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is a $351 million project created in partnership between the Government of Canada, the Province of Manitoba, the City of Winnipeg, The Forks North Portage Partnership and the private sector.
